Course Description

Composition and Research

College composition and research. Students practice modes of rhetoric by writing expository essays, culminating in an argumentative research paper. Pre-requisite: Placement in ENGL 101 or C or better in ENGL 100 or equivalent 3 credits (3 lecture hours), fall or spring This course satisfies SUNY General Education Requirements for “Basic Communication”. These credits count toward the Humanities (List A) requirements for graduation.

Admissions Requirements

Students wishing to enter this program must meet the following requirements:
Minimum SAT scores of 500 in math and 450 in critical reading.

Desired: Math through pre-calculus and general chemistry.
