Program Strengths

Students in the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Mathematics and Science, A.S. - Biology Concentration have access to the expertise of a number of biology professionals. These faculty are hard working, conscientious, dedicated and caring, resulting in a tremendous amount of service to the students, the college and surrounding community. Biology/Chemistry Department faculty comprise a mix of long-time professionals who furnish stability and experience and recently appointed personnel who provide new spirit, ideas and approaches.

A significant amount of time and effort by the faculty members of the Biology/Chemistry Department is spent providing courses required by other programs on campus. Being in classes with students from many programs provides Biology concentration majors with an appreciation for how biology is a foundation for many careers.

Students who graduate as Liberal Arts and Sciences: Mathematics and Science, A.S. - Biology Concentration majors from Morrisville State College have historically been successful at transfer institutions in biology-related programs. Because of their academic success, these students have helped establish Morrisville State College's reputation among transfer institutions.
