Nursing A.A.S.
Admissions Requirements
Students wishing to enter this program must meet the following requirements:
The student entering the Nursing A.A.S. program from high school must have a minimum high school average of B or better, biology, chemistry, and New York state Math A, all with a minimum Regents score of 65. It is beneficial for students to have completed an additional year of both science and mathematics.
Transfer students entering the Nursing A.A.S program must meet biology, chemistry and math requirements and have a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.75 or better.
Students who are re-entering the academic world or are considering nursing as a second career are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Readmitted students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better.
Any student who has repeated two nursing courses or the same nursing course twice (dropping or withdrawal with a failing grade) at another college/nursing program will not be eligible for admission to the Associate degree.
The NLN pre-admission exam is required. A minimum composite score of a 100 is required for admission into the nursing program.
