Course Description
Concept Foundation Prof PractiThis course engages the learner in exploring the conceptual theories and models for professional nursing practice with a focus on historical and societal influences. The course is organized around the core concepts of the BS nursing program: Patient-Centered Care; Evidence-Based Practice; Nursing Informatics; Leadership; and Professionalism. Integration of knowledge will be demonstrated through a service learning project. This course is offered on campus, with web-based enhancements. Electronic communications are required, including use of Blackboard; Adobe Connect, with webcam & USB headset; Microsoft Office [WORD, PowerPoint and Excel 2010 or higher] and the Internet. Pre/co -requisite: NURS 300 3 credits (3 lecture hours) fall or spring semester
