Course Description
Nurse Research Evid Based PracThis course assists the learner in applying the principles of quantitative and qualitative research to patient care, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice. Learning activities include critiquing published research literature using critical appraisals. Integration of knowledge will be demonstrated through a service learning project. This is an online course with enhanced electronic communications requiring Blackboard; Adobe Connect, with webcam & USB headset; Microsoft Office [WORD, PowerPoint and Excel 2010 or higher] and the Internet. Prerequisite: all NURS 300 level courses, with a C+ or better Pre/Co-requisite: BIOL 302; MATH 123 or equivalent 3 credits (3 lecture hours), fall semester
