Sports Nutrition and Fitness Management A.S. :: Facilities
Students enrolled in this program at Morrisville State College have use of state-of-the art laboratories and fitness facilities designed specifically for studying fitness and sports physiology. The fitness laboratory, located in
Iceplex II, consists of a variety of testing equipment, including a Quinton electrocardiogram machine and a Metabolic Medgraphic cart which assesses gas exchange, carbon dioxide output and oxygen input.
The facility also includes fitness equipment such as free weights and a Cybex multistation weight machine, assisted chin-dip bar, a leg press machine, treadmills, elliptical, stairclimber, airdyne bikes and recumbent bikes.
The General Biology, Human Biology and Anatomy & Physiology labs are located on the first floor of
Crawford Hall. Each lab is equipped with microscopes, chalk boards, overhead projectors, a portable projection system with a document camera, three video microscope systems, and one VCR & Laser Disc system. The Anatomy & Physiology lab has five computers to run physiology software and apparatus to produce and analyze EKGs, EMGs, and pulmonary functions.
