A Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Resort and Recreation Service Management prepares graduates for entry into the industry at the supervisory or management level, where technical knowledge and operational experience are necessary. The Hospitality Technology Department at Morrisville State College has a strong and long-standing relationship with the many segments of the hospitality industry. Industry experts have indicated, to an increasing extent, that positions at the management level at their companies require a bachelor’s degree.

The development of this degree is the direct result of industry requirements for success in the workplace. The upper-level courses in the B.B.A. in Resort and Recreation Service Management build upon an Associate in Applied Science degree in related areas. Upper-level courses combine a core of business courses with higher level resort and recreation service management classes, culminating in the internship semester, which will serve as the capstone to the degree and facilitate the transition from academia to industry for the graduate.

The graduates' knowledge and experience with technology provided as a part of ThinkPad University will make them especially valuable in the development and use of interactive media for training, marketing, management, decision-making, and communications.
