Thinkpad University Laptops
Morrisville State College began a partnership with IBM called ThinkPad University in an effort to enhance the college's learning environment. In 1998, Morrisville became the first of the State University of New York's 64 campuses to supply students with individual laptop computers.
Student laptop use is integrated into many Morrisville State College courses, and laptops are integrated into the teaching and learning environment as a whole.
Wireless mobile technology is used to create a nomadic learning environment. Information can be accessed from virtually anywhere on either of Morrisville's two campuses, including academic buildings, residence halls, dining facilities and even outside. The learning possibilities are endless!
