Morrisville State College faculty member Ron Alexander discusses some of the learning opportunities presented by the Syracuse Nationals car build project. Students in Morrisville State College's auto programs have the opportunity to learn both automotive fundamentals and unique aspects of the auto industry such as specialty parts and custom vehicles.
Morrisville State College offers several automotive bachelor and associate degrees. These programs offer diverse curricula in automotive technology and repair, automotive business management, autobody technology, and more.
The Automotive Department at Morrisville State College has a 70 plus year history of educating students in Automotive Technology. The learning experience students receive reflects the hands-on, technical nature of the college as an outgrowth of theoretical knowledge. Students gain a wide range of skills performing live work in technologically sophisticated laboratories and also gain real-world experience staffing a customer reception area and parts room. Auto students also have the opportunity to attend and participate in national events such as SEMA and the Syracuse Nationals.
