The propagation greenhouse is used by horticulture students to grow vegetables and produce rooted cuttings from a variety of local trees. Students also participate in hydroponic growing experiments using specialized equipment. The orchid room is also located within this greenhouse.
The Morrisville State College Horticulture Program prepares students to begin satisfying and rewarding careers in ornamental horticulture and related fields. The horticulture program includes associate degree concentrations in landscape development, greenhouse production, and floral design, or a bachelor degree in Horticulture Business Management.
State-of-the-art facilities include modern greenhouses, a complete landscape design studio, a student lounge, conference rooms, offices, and four specialty classrooms.
