Orchids and other tropical plants are kept in the orchid room, which has a high heat and humidity environment suitable for tropical growth. The orchid room is also used by students who are interested in plant breeding.
The Morrisville State College Horticulture Program prepares students to begin satisfying and rewarding careers in ornamental horticulture and related fields. The horticulture program includes associate degree concentrations in landscape development, greenhouse production, and floral design, or a bachelor degree in Horticulture Business Management.
State-of-the-art facilities include modern greenhouses, a complete landscape design studio, a student lounge, conference rooms, offices, and four specialty classrooms.
