Dining Procedures

What procedures must be followed at each dining center?

For all dining centers on campus, entrances and exits will be clearly labeled, and alternative exits will also be used. Upon entry, students will self-swipe their ID cards after verifying their picture with the cashier. Signage will clearly state customer procedures and protocols, including requiring customers to wear face masks in all dining operations. Pre-packaged napkin and silverware packets and disposable paper products will be provided. 

Use of arrows and distancing lines on floors will be in place, as well as stanchion signage where stanchions are used. Stanchions will be utilized to assist with the flow of traffic. Staff at the entrances to the dining facilities will also help control flow and direction to maintain this lowered density.

No seating will be available in dining spaces to promote safety and enforce social distancing. Outdoor seating will be available, weather permitting.

Will online ordering be available?

Yes, an online ordering system will be implemented for certain dining locations to minimize interaction and payment with customers.

Which dining areas will be open?

Seneca Dining Hall will be open to students, with all food provided to-go in carryout containers. All self-serve stations will be eliminated and only provide staffed areas. All stations have proper sneeze guards in place and staff will be properly protected wearing masks and gloves. Portion–control condiments and sauces will be made available at each staffed area. 

Mustang Alley will be open to students for carryout only. Online ordering will be made available.

Will the Copper Turret Restaurant be open?

Yes, the Copper Turret Restaurant will operate at 50% capacity, with ample disinfecting and sanitizing after each customer leaves. Reservations are strongly recommended.

What cleaning and sanitizing procedures are in place for the dining facilities?

Dining Services will provide face masks for all employees, who will be required to wear them at all times. Hand-washing stations are present, along with sanitizing and disinfecting products. Hand sanitizer will be provided at all entrances and throughout higher-traffic areas of the dining facilities. Plexiglass shields will be installed in all cashier areas and gloves will be provided.

There will be an increase in all dining facilities cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces throughout all hours of operation. There will be an increased number of displays of COVID-19 and how to help stop the spread.
