How Will Coronavirus Affect Campus Events?

To comply with the Governor’s directives of no more gatherings exceeding 50 people, as well as guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to limit groups to no more than 10 people, all in-person events for the remainder of the spring semester will be canceled.

As decisions are made regarding the status of and/or alternatives to previously-scheduled events, the information will be posted on this page.


Commencement will be rescheduled. Originally planned for Saturday, May 15, we will examine a date for later this year. We will provide updates on the Commencement webpage, as details emerge.

Grad Finale

The Grad Finale, originally planned for April 14, is cancelled.

Open House

All on-campus events have been canceled, including our in-person Open House on March 28, 2020, and April Accepted Student Days. We are currently developing a virtual Open House program that will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 6 p.m. and will allow students to explore our campus facilities, academic offerings and student service offices.

Other Events

Applied Learning Student Showcase

The SUNY Morrisville Regional Applied Learning Student Showcase, co-sponsored with SUNY Polytechnic Institute and Mowhawk Valley Community College on March 26, 2020 is canceled. We will be determining a date to reschedule in the fall semester, if feasible.

Job and Internship Fair

The SUNY Morrisville March 24 Job and Internship Fair on the Morrisville, NY campus has been canceled. Registration fees already paid will be refunded in full as quickly as time allows. All fees incurred, but not yet paid, will be canceled.

The NYC Urban Agricultural Summit on March 12 has been canceled.


The safeTALK Suicide Prevention Training has been postponed until fall.
