If you love ice cream as much as you love being #MustangProud, then you definitely won’t want to miss out on the Mustang Ice Cream Contest!
SUNY Morrisville alumni Andy Lagoe ’92 and Gil Hodges ’92 along with partner Mike Lagoe, owners of Gilligan’s Ice Cream, want to show their Mustang Pride by holding an ice cream flavor contest to select the new official indulgence of SUNY Morrisville!
Pretty cool, right? It gets better. Gilligan’s is letting YOU come up with the ingredients, and the name!
Between March 18 and 29, be sure to submit your idea of what ice cream flavor you think defines SUNY Morrisville. To enter, complete the form below, or cast your ballot in person at the following campus locations:
- Seneca Dining Hall
- Mustang Alley
- Smooth Jazzy Joz
- Campus Store
- Norwich Campus Store
When entering, be sure to describe the ice cream flavor you envision and be sure to include any ingredients you would mix in. And don’t forget to come up with a name!
Three finalists will be chosen, with those selected flavors being developed by Gilligan’s and each contestant also receiving a savory prize.
A special taste-testing of the three final flavors will be held in April, allowing the SUNY Morrisville community to choose the winning flavor to be served on campus and in nearby stores!
And that’s just the cherry on top, with the winner also receiving some chill prizes. You guessed it…two quarts of their winning ice cream, plus a $50 Gilligan’s gift card to spend at their restaurant or wherever their ice cream is sold, AND a $50 MAC gift card usable at the Copper Turret, Nelson Farms and the Campus Store. For, you know, more ice cream (or whatever you crave).
So take advantage of your chance to indulge and be sweet – or salty – and enter to win today!
Bring on the creativity. Let it be tasty. Let it be awesome. The spoon is the limit!
