Nelson Farms is a small-scale, FDA-inspected food processing incubator operated by the Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC). Located approximately seven miles from the college in Nelson, NY, Nelson Farms serves as an experimental laboratory for Morrisville students, providing real-world experience in marketing along with entrepreneurship, agritourism, nutrition, and value-added agriculture and development.
Nelson Farms has also helped form some 1,000 businesses and developed more than 600 food products by providing entrepreneurial agribusiness opportunities to specialty food processors, farmers, growers and producers.
Additionally, the Nelson Farms Country Store is a New York specialty foods market which features products produced in the kitchens of Nelson Farms as well as other New York products from all regions of New York State. Available products include pancake, muffin and other mixes, syrups, jams & jellies, barbecue sauces, salsas, salad dressings, chocolates, and more.
