Shape the future.

Early childhood education is one of our most important social priorities, and qualified professionals to work in this field are in high demand.

If you have a love of children and want to contribute to their success in the earliest years of their education, the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in early childhood, offered at our Norwich Campus, prepares you to work with the identified needs of area child care and child and family development organizations.

Along with a firm foundation in the liberal arts, the well-rounded course load covers theories of education, assessment, infants and toddlers, special needs, children’s literature, activities in the arts, and much more.

You will engage in hands-on training through two rigorous, supervised field experiences with high-quality early childhood agencies.

You will graduate knowing everything you need to know to pass a New York State Education Department comprehensive exam for certification as a teacher assistant.
