If you like to get your hands dirty in a most productive way, SUNY Morrisville’s Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program in landscape design & management will prepare you for a career in landscape design, parks management, recreational planning and many other related fields.
The art and science of landscape architecture depends upon professionals with dual backgrounds in horticulture and in the design and development of landscapes for community, business and residential sites.
In this program, you will learn everything from horticulture and plant materials to computer-aided landscape design programs that enable you to apply what you have learned about landscape design and construction. You'll work hands-on with real clients and right here on campus to produce walkways, backyards, grounds and parks that are functional and beautiful.
You'll also gain direct experience in horticulture through our Four Seasons Farm, a certified organic farm operated and maintained by the college's horticulture department that provides hands-on education through year-round crop production.
The program also prepares you for successful transfer elsewhere to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
