Stories you can show and tell.

More businesses and organizations are telling their stories through the power of video. Whether you want to work as a videojournalist or as a video producer for a company’s communications team, the SUNY Morrisville Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program in videojournalism will give you critical preparation in writing and scripting, investigative research methods, video producing strategies, and audio and video editing.

You will receive state-of-the-art technical instruction, based on a solid foundation of writing, editing and business skills. You will find hands-on experience working in the Mustang Radio Production Lab that features Mustang Radio Cable Channel 6.2, Mustang Radio-AM 1580 "The Vortex," an internet radio station and a digital video production unit. And, throughout the program, you will create and regularly update a personal portfolio of work that gives you a strong advantage when entering the job market.

You also will fulfill a full-time internship chosen in conjunction with your advisor, providing you with business experience in the area of communications that interests you the most.

When you graduate, you’ll be versed in all aspects of working in public communications or owning and operating a video production business for news or promotional content.
