They traveled from as far away as Spain, Denmark and Australia with a common goal—to advance the field of equine dentistry. Twelve candidates from all over the world spent four days at Morrisville State College performing testing on the college's horses to become certified by the International Association of Equine Dentistry (IAED). Members of the IAED, veterinarians, equine dental technicians, officials and examiners hailing from all parts of the globe were also involved in the event which was conducted in the college's equine facilities.
Eight students from the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College have been recognized for their participation in a community service project. The students were all part of a food drive to benefit Roots and Wings, a non-profit organization that helps the needy in the local Norwich community. Receiving a Student Initiative Award from the Association of Council Members and College Trustees (ACT) of the State University of New York for their participation in the food drive were:
MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Morrisville State College’s Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) is hosting a two-day workshop on Small-Scale Biodiesel Production and Diesel Vehicle Veggie Conversion, June 11-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Morrisville State College RETC in Shannon Hall.  The workshop is an introduction to small-scale batch biodiesel production and diesel automobile modifications for all-season use of waste vegetable oil and biodiesel.
