Time Warner to televise Morrisville State football game against Hartwick

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College and Time Warner Sports of Central New York have reached an agreement to televise the Mustangs football 2010 season opener against non-conference opponent, Hartwick College, on Saturday, September 4 at 1 p.m. at Drake Field on the Morrisville State College campus.

The broadcast can be seen exclusively on Time Warner Sports for Time Warner Cable audiences from Albany to Buffalo and Binghamton to the Canadian border. For the local Syracuse broadcast, viewers can see the game live on Time Warner Sports Channel 26.

“There are so many great things happening at Morrisville right now, including the opening of the new stadium and other campus facilities, and the opportunity to showcase our football program and talk about the college is something we are all very excited about. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to have our game broadcast by Time Warner’s sports production team,” said Athletic Director Greg Carroll.

This is the first game back in the Morrisville State College stadium facility since the 2008 season, after playing a 10 game “road schedule” last season. The new multi-purpose stadium facility has seating for 1,800, a synthetic turf field, press box, concession stands and a hospitality suite.

Admission for the game is $5 for adults, $2 for senior citizens and students, with children 12 and under admitted for free. Tickets are available for purchase on game day only.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers.
