Sullivan named NEAC Athlete of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athlete of the week selections, naming Morrisville State College’s Shane Sullivan (Sherrill, NY/VVS) the men’s soccer athlete of the week for the week ending September 12.

Sullivan, junior goalkeeper for the Mustangs, tallied 10 total saves, one goal against, in two wins for Morrisville State over the course of the week. Against Hilbert, he made two stops in 45 minutes of play while allowing no goals.

On Saturday, Sullivan made eight crucial saves in the 2-1 victory over conference rival Cazenovia College to secure the team’s first NEAC win of the season.

The 2008 graduate of VVS High School is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. Sullivan is the son of Lauren Sullivan of Sherrill, NY.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
