Morrisville State women’s soccer falls 0-2 to Albany College of Pharmacy

Morrisville, NY – The Morrisville State College women’s soccer team fell to Albany College of Pharmacy Panthers today, making their overall record 1-3.

The Panthers scored both goals in the first half of the game. Alexa Schooley (Auburn, NY) scored the game winning goal, assisted by Samantha Nolan (Galway, NY). The second goal was scored unassisted by Brittany Bogan (Troy, NY) on a rebound from goalkeeper Cheyanna Waters (Woodhull, NY) near the end of the half.

Waters recorded the loss for the Mustangs, tallying 10 saves in her 80 minutes of play. Sara Boudah (Middlebury, VT) finished the last 10 minutes of the game, saving two.

Christine Roman (Chittenango, NY) recorded the win for the Panthers, playing all 90 minutes and shutting out the Mustangs.

Morrisville next plays SUNY IT on Sept. 18 on Lemery Field at 1 p.m. The following game is against SUNY Canton, which the women will face on Drake Field on Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
