Morrisville State volleyball team drops match to SUNY Oswego 3-0

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.– The Mustangs fell to SUNY Oswego 3-0 tonight in Morrisville. Oswego took the set 25-17, 25-15 and 25-20. Morrisville’s record falls to 7-21 overall.

Nicole Wright (Dryden, NY) led the team with seven kills, one set assist, five defensive digs and two solo blocks. Angelina Ciaschi (Ithaca, NY) added four kills, one solo block and one set assist.

Deanna Zbikowski (North Syracuse, NY) recorded 12 set assists. Teammate Devan Hirst (Cobleskill, NY) tallied 11 defensive digs for the Mustangs. Lexi Hansen (Taberg, NY) had one kill and one solo block.

The Mustangs head to Keuka College on Oct. 30 to close the regular season.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
