Morrisville State men to make NEAC Championship Tournament appearance

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its 2010 men’s soccer championship bracket today, ranking Morrisville State College as its fifth seed.

The Mustangs will face familiar foe, fourth seed Keuka College, Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. in Keuka. Morrisville State will seek revenge on the Storm, who claimed the 1-0 overtime victory in the regular season finale for the Mustangs on October 26.

The winner of the match-up will advance to the conference semi-finals against top seed and tournament host SUNY IT on Saturday.

Penn State Harrisburg and Penn State Abington claimed the second and third seeds respectively.

Morrisville State concluded the regular season with an 8-7-1 overall record, 4-4-1 in conference action.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
