Breen named SUNYAC Hockey Rookie of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) released its Players of the Week for the week ending November 21, naming Morrisville State College freshman goaltender, Colin Breen (Waterloo, ONT) the Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Breen made his first collegiate start between the pipes on Friday against SUNY Cortland, earning the victory following a 43 save night. In the 6-3 decision, he turned back shots at a 93.5 percent clip for Morrisville State’s fourth win in five games.

The freshman is majoring in renewable energy technology at Morrisville State and is the son of Heather Colhoun of Waterloo, Ontario.

Morrisville State is currently 4-3-0 overall (4-2-0 in conference play).
