Morrisville State women battle turnovers, fall on road to Abington 56-48

ABINGTON, PA – Visiting Morrisville State College women’s basketball battled turnovers Saturday afternoon, recording 25 in the 56-48 loss to host Penn State Abington in Abington.

Morrisville State recorded 14 first half turnovers, and trailed by as many as 12 in the second half, as Abington picked up the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory.

Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) led Morrisville State with 15 points, adding 10 rebounds for the double-double, with teammate Nijee Scott (Bronx, NY) chipping in 13. Keyla Arce (Bronx, NY) also netted 13 for the Mustangs, adding six boards, as the Mustangs dropped to 3-16 overall, 3-13 in conference play.

Morrisville State returns to the court Sunday at Penn State Berks.
