Pinkerton joins cross country coaching staff

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College athletic director, Greg Carroll, and head cross country coach, Derek Powers, announced the addition of Carolyn Pinkerton as assistant coach in the fall 2011.

Pinkerton enjoyed a standout career as a member of the cross country and outdoor track and field teams at Assumption College, earning Freshman of the Year honors as well as NE-10 Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week. Unfortunately, both programs were discontinued following her sophomore year.

Pinkerton continues to stay active in the running/fitness world, regularly competing in half marathons, as well as instructing spin and boot camp classes.

The Stoneham, M.A. native received her bachelor of arts degree from Assumption College in 2007 and will complete her doctorate of audiology from Northeastern University in May 2012.
