Townsley named NEAC Athlete of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has announced its weekly award winners, naming Morrisville State College’s Austin Townsley (Horseheads, NY) the Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 4.

Townsley, a junior for the Mustangs, led the team to a 2nd place overall finish at the SUNY IT Wildcat Invitational this past Saturday. He placed sixth overall out of 134 runners, posting a time of 21:05 (5:39 mile pace) in the 6K run.

The Horseheads graduate is majoring in Information Technology – Network Administration at Morrisville State. He is the son of Mary and Fran Sherwood of Horseheads, New York.
