Johnsmeyer named ECAC Co-Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College freshman runner, Greg Johnsmeyer (West Hurley, N.Y.) has been named the Division III Upstate/Metro Region ECAC Co-Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending October 23.

At the 5K Heron Invitational held at Seneca Lake Park on Saturday, Johnsmeyer finished the race in 3rd position out of 33 runners with a time of 16:11 (5.12 per mile pace) to lead the men’s team to third place overall finish.

Jonhsmeyer is the first cross country runner in Morrisville State’s history to earn ECAC Runner of the Week honors.
The environmental and natural resources conservation major at Morrisville State is the son of Nelson and Cathy Johnsmeyer of West Hurley, New York.
