Meyer, Alexander named Mustang Athletes of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College athletic department has named western equestrian team riders, Amanda Meyer (Equinunk, PA) and Paul Alexander (Truxton, NY) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending December 4.

Meyer topped all competition in the double show on Saturday, earning the blue ribbon in the intermediate II western horsemanship class in each show against riders from both Colgate University and SUNY Cobleskill.

She also collected enough points to qualify for the Regional Championship Show held in March.

Meyer is a sophomore majoring in equine science at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Sue and Clarence Meyer of Equinunk, Pennsylvania.

Alexander claimed the blue ribbon in the morning show and took a second in the afternoon in the intermediate II western horsemanship class on Saturday against riders from Colgate University and SUNY Cobleskill.

Alexander is majoring in equine science at Morrisville State.
