Hinchey named NEAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its player of the week selections, naming Morrisville State senior goalkeeper, Michael Hinchey (Lake Katrine, N.Y.) the men’s lacrosse defensive player of the week for the week ending April 1.

Hinchey was instrumental to the Mustangs 2-0 week by registering 22 total saves and recording a .595 save percentage. He opened the week with an 8-7 victory over Vassar in which he turned away seven, including four in the final quarter, before making 15 stops in the 12-8 win over conference rival Keuka on Saturday.

He is currently ranked second in the NEAC in saves with 86 to date on the season.

The graduate of Kingston High is majoring in technology management at Morrisville State. He is the son of Barbara and Michael Hinchey of Lake Katrine.
