Highlanders post 5-1 victory over Morrisville State sticks

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Senior forward Ashley Engle (Manheim, PA) posted a hat trick, netting three scores to lead the visiting Houghton College Highlanders to a 5-1 non-conference victory over Morrisville State Thursday afternoon in Morrisville.

The Mustangs drop to 2-14 on the season, while Houghton improves to 7-5.

Adria Bridgwood (Brewster, MA) and Kristin McKane (Clayville, N.Y.) each added a goal
for Houghton in the win, as Hillery Duman (Chaffee, NY) posted the win in net, turning away two.

Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, N.Y.) posted the lone goal for the Mustangs, recording the
tally midway through the second half with a backhanded shot off a corner pass from Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.).

Ellen DePasquale (Vernon, N.Y.) recorded eight saves in net in the loss, including
six in the second half.

Morrisville State returns to the field Saturday, wrapping up their conference schedule at
SUNY New Paltz at 1 p.m.
