Morrisville State College to host nursing alumni dessert reception

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.--Morrisville State College will host a dessert reception for nursing alumni Oct. 1 in the Bailey Hall Annex.
The event will take place during Mustang Weekend, a weekend-long celebration on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, open to parents, faculty, staff, alumni, emeriti and their families and members of the community.
The reception will feature desserts made by students in the college’s hospitality programs who are members of the student chapter of the International Food Service Executives’ Association (IFSEA).
Registration, which is due by Sept. 23, is $10.
Register by calling the Alumni Office at 1-800-IMA-GRAD or via e-mail at alumni@morrisville.edu. Checks should be made payable to the Morrisville College Foundation, Inc., and mailed to the Alumni/Development Office, 101 Bailey Hall, Morrisville State College, Morrisville, N.Y. 13408.
Other activities scheduled for Mustang Weekend are: alumni lacrosse and soccer games; family entertainer, Fred Gee, in concert; ice cream social; fireworks display; annual Madison Hall 5K walk/run; horticulture open house and floral design contest; family brunch; craft fair; alumni luncheon; automotive technology open house and cruise-in (car show); Mustang football vs. Dean Junior College; Lady Mustangs soccer vs. Mohawk Valley Community college; community/campus carnival; community/campus picnic; and a casino night.
Morrisville State College offers 12 bachelor degrees and a wide variety of associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine. The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus also offers programs in business, technologies, liberal arts/education transfer, and nursing to Chenango County area residents and employers.
