Morrisville State College Offers Three Personal Safety Seminars

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.– Morrisville State College’s Office of Corporate and Community Relations is offering three seminars that focus on personal safety.

The three seminars, which cost $5 and include lunch, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Morrisville State College campus.

Identity Fraud will help participants protect themselves against this crime which affects approximately 900,000 new victims each year and costs more than $1,000 in out-of-pocket expenses to clear each victim’s name.
The Understanding Your Insurance seminar will help participants with their automobile and homeowner insurance policies. Learn the importance of tailored automobile policies and how a tailored homeowner’s policy can adequately cover the value of your home and possessions. An insurance professional will be available to help participants decide on the coverage that will best suit their needs.

Catastrophe Awareness covers personal insurance products such as automobile, home, life, and disability and how they can protect a person’s security. An insurance professional will be available to discuss coverage with participants.

Morrisville State College is also offering a variety of other non-credit courses including: Self-Discovery and Empowerment Through Writing; Self Defense and Your Personal Safety; Infection Control and OSHA Update; and a Professional Development Conference and Luncheon for Administrative Professionals.
