Morrisville State College Entrepreneurship Institute to Host Speaker

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.— The Morrisville State College Entrepreneurship Institute (MSCEI) will feature a presentation by Morrisville State College alumnus, Steve Butt, on Tuesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in Charlton Hall, Room 217. The presentation is part of MSCEI's Distinguished Speakers Series.

Butt, a 1971 graduate who lives in Philadelphia, earned an associate’s degree from Morrisville State College and a bachelor’s degree from Pace University in New York City. He is a regional sales manager selling long-term care software for American HealthTech. Formerly, he worked as a systems engineer at IBM and ran his own dental software distributorship.

Butt will be talking about his entrepreneurial experiences, including starting up his own business.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

MSCEI is a student-run organization which provides local businesses, non-profit agencies and charitable organizations with opportunities to partner with qualified students studying information technology. Students gain real-world experience while earning an income providing services such as creating customized Web sites, e-commerce sites, creating advertising and marketing plans, computer network services, and basic business consulting.

MSCEI also offers free community workshops.
