Kinsey named NEAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference has named its student-athletes of the week, selecting Morrisville State College’s Jailaan Kinsey (Syracuse, N.Y. / Jamesville-DeWitt) the men’s basketball player of the week for the week ending December 2.

The junior guard led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week with his long-range shooting, as he went 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished with 16 points, four assist and a steal in a 94-90 victory over Keystone College on Tuesday. He hit three more shots from long-range and finishing with a team best 13 points in just 19 minutes of action during Thursday’s victory over SUNY ESF.

Kinsey finished the week with eight three-pointers and 34 points as Morrisville State is 3-3 on the season to date.

The graduate of Jamesville-DeWitt is majoring in individual studies at Morrisville State. He is the son of Darlene and James Kinsey of Syracuse, N.Y.
