Morrisville State College’s Norwich Campus to Host Halo 2 Tournament

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.– Registration is under way for a Halo 2 tournament which will be held Saturday, March 3 at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College.

The tournament, which will consist of various 4 on 4, team-based matches, will begin at 2 p.m. with team check-in at 1 p.m. The event is open to high school and Morrisville State College students. Students under age 17 must sign a waiver.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own controller. XBOX 360, big screen, high def projectors and refreshments will be provided.

Most of the tournament will be held in the Community Room, Room 132, of Roger W. Follett Hall of the Norwich Campus, 20 Conkey Ave., adjacent to the Eaton Center in downtown Norwich.

Morrisville State College offers 14 bachelor degrees and a wide variety of associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in business, computer technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, early childhood and nursing to Chenango County area residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.

The Norwich Campus also offers a range of non-credit/community education courses, customized training, and conference services.
