Friars Club to Perform "Little Shop of Horrors"

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.— The Morrisville State College Student Government Organization and Friars’ Drama Club will present the musical “Little Shop of Horrors” in the Little Theater in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities on campus.

Performance dates and times are: March 30 and 31 at 8 p.m.; April 1 at 2 p.m.; and April 5, 6 and 7 at 8 p.m.

The musical, a comedy, is about Seymour, a down and out Skid Row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon the plant grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore offering him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite. But as the plant’s hungry demands increase, all that Seymour holds dear is threatened as the plant’s sinister agenda for global domination is revealed.

General admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the box office at 684-6126.
