Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College To Host Workshops

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—The Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College will host a series of Walk-In-Wednesday Workshops to help prepare students for college.
 
The workshops will be held in Roger W. Follett Hall at the college’s Norwich Campus, 20 Conkey Ave., adjacent to the Eaton Center in downtown Norwich.

Walk-in-Wednesdays offer weekly free academic, career and financial aid advising and related workshops with a professional advisor. Meet with faculty, staff and students, tour the campus and get answers to your questions.
 
Upcoming workshops are:

July 18 – Classroom Technology (laptops, Web CT and e-databases), 9-11 a.m.; College Transitions for Students with Special Needs, 2-4 p.m.

July 25 – The Who, What, When and Where of Financial Aid, 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

August 1 – New Norwich Campus Degree Programs, 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
 
August 8 – Deciding Your Major and/or Career Path, 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

Morrisville State College offers more than 70 bachelor and associate degrees. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in business, computer technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing and early childhood to Chenango County area residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.

The Norwich Campus also offers a range of non-credit/community education courses, customized training, and conference services.
