Pat Yannarelli named men's lacrosse coach at MSC

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College Athletic Director, Greg Carroll, recently announced the addition of Pat Yannarelli to the athletic department staff as head coach of the men’s lacrosse program and assistant equipment and events manager.

A 2001 graduate of Greensboro College with a degree in sports and exercise science, sports behavior concentration, Yannarelli spent a season as the assistant lacrosse coach at Western New England before becoming the head coach of the College of Mount Saint Vincent team.

In 2003, Yannarelli joined the College of Mount Saint Vincent athletic staff as the head coach of the men’s lacrosse club team and quickly evolved the program from club-level to varsity status in the Skyline Conference.

Yannarelli was promoted to the Director of Operations and Facilities at the Mount in 2005 while leading the men’s team to a 7-8 campaign.

In 2007, he was named the head coach of the USA Athletes International travel men’s lacrosse team that includes players from Division I, II and III, which compete in Berlin, Germany during the summer.

Yannarelli was a high school All-American at Ridgewood High School before becoming a captain and team MVP at Greensboro College.

Morrisville State College offers more than 70 bachelor and associate degrees. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine. The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus also offers programs in business, technologies, liberal arts/education transfer, and nursing to Chenango County area residents and employers.
