Morrisville State College to Host Open House Oct. 13

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.--On Oct. 13, Morrisville State College will host prospective students and their families during a day-long open house. The college will offer a variety of activities designed to introduce students to Morrisville State and assist them with the college search process.

The open house sessions will enable prospective students to see the campus, attend brunch and a financial aid workshop, meet with deans, faculty and staff, learn about bachelor and associate degree programs and tour the college’s academic facilities. Representatives of campus departments, including residence life and athletics, will be available to meet with prospective students and parents in an effort to provide them with as much information as possible about life and education at Morrisville State College.

“We are looking forward to welcoming prospective students and their families to campus for open house,” Thomas VerDow, director of admissions, said. “It provides students an excellent opportunity to get to know Morrisville State College by spending time with faculty, staff and current students, to explore the campus.”

Prospective students and their families will also have the opportunity to interact with alumni, families of current students and community members. The open house is taking place during Mustang Weekend, an annual celebration at the college which features sporting events, a pep rally, a fishing derby, carnival and fireworks.

An additional open house is scheduled for Nov. 10. Last year, open houses brought more than 800 prospective students and their families to the Morrisville campus.

To register or for more information, visit, e-mail or call the Admissions Office at 800-258-0111.
