Morrisville State's S.A.A.C. to host all-Sports Day

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) will be hosting an All-Sports Day on Sunday, November 18 on the Morrisville State campus.

Running from 12 noon until 5 p.m., community members are able to come and learn various sports taught by Morrisville State’s student-athletes.

The afternoon will also feature guest speaker, Dana Cavalea, the New York Yankee’s Director of Strength and Conditioning, who will be speaking to student’s on the importance of motivation, nutrition, sportsmanship, health, and strength and conditioning within the world of sport.

Morrisville State enters its second year as a provisional member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division III in 2007. Upon successful completion of the provisional period, Morrisville State will be a candidate for full accreditation as a member of the NCAA.

Morrisville State College offers more than 70 bachelor and associate degrees. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine. The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus also offers programs in business, technologies, liberal arts/education transfer, and nursing to Chenango County area residents and employers.
