Hockey falls to Fredonia 3-1

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Morrisville State College men’s ice hockey team fell to visiting Fredonia State 3-1 Friday night in Morrisville.

Frank Soscia (Richmond Hill, ONT) opened the scoring for the Blue Devils when he beat Morrisville States goalie stick side with just six minutes remaining in the first period. Bryan Goudy (Port Huron, MI) and Pat Capella (Syracuse, NY) each recorded the assist on the goal. Half way through the second period, Adam Haberman (Novi, MI) netted the second goal for the Blue Devils off a shot by Colin Sarfeh (Laguna Niguel, CA). Matt McKeown (Niagara Falls, ONT) added an empty net goal as time expired to the Blue Devils the 3-1 win over Morrisville State College.

Pat Street (Annapolis, MD) recorded the win in goal for the Blue Devils saving 19 shots. Fredonia State improves to 8-5-3 overall and 4-2-2 in SUNYAC competition.

The Mustangs goal came from Rob Sgarbossa (Campbellville, ONT) off a rebound shot by Matt Damskov (Spokane, WA) tallying the assist.

Brett Freese (Geneseo, NY) recorded the loss for the Mustangs in net tallying 33 saves. Morrisville State falls to 4-16-0 overall and 0-12-0 in SUNYAC competition
