Buffalo State swimming and diving teams sweep Morrisville

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo State’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each defeated an undersized Morrisville squad today at Kissinger Pool, with the women winning, 95-26, while the men topped the Mustangs 130-66.

Kevin Buisman was a quadruple winner for the Bengals, touching first in the 1,000 free, 200 free, 100 back and the 500 free. Tim Harroun was a double winner, touching first int eh 100 free and 100 breast. Christopher Steinert claimed the 1-meter diving title, scoring 250.4 points.

On the women’s side, Sarah Rotella and Christina Jasek each scored top points in two events, as Rotella won the 1,000 free and 500 free, while Jasek claimed the 200 free and 100 back.

Emily Olson (Massena, NY) led the Morrisville State women’s team with a first place finish in the 50 free, second place in the 100 fly and 500 freestyle races.

Marianne Pardoe (Angola, NY) was the top finisher in the 1-meter diving event.

Cameron Bray (Bliss, NY) led the Morrisville State men’s team with a second place finish in the 200 free and 100 backstroke.

Morrisville State returns to the pool Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wells College.
