Bengals sweep Morrisville State

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Buffalo State Bengals swept Morrisville State Saturday afternoon in the SUNYAC double header by a final 10-0 in game one and 8-0 in the night cap.

In gam e one, Buffalo State took a three-run lead in the top of the third inning and extended it to 6-0 in the top of the fourth. Aimee Fisher recorded the win on the mound, allowing three hits in seven innings while striking out three.
Jen Allen (East Islip, NY) led the Mustangs from the plate, hitting 1-for-2 while tallying 11 put outs defensively.

Kim Acker (Blue Point, NY) recorded the loss, striking out three, while allowing 12 hits in seven innings pitched.

In the night cap, Buffalo State jumped out to a n early two run lead in the top of the first inning and added four additional runs in the third, leading to the 8-0 victory.

Acker recorded the loss for the Mustangs, pitching 2.2 innings while allowing six runs on nine hits. Gretchen Cramer (Grand Ledge, MI) pitched the remaining 3.1 innings of the contest, allowing two runs and two hits, while striking out two.
