Oneonta rolls to win over Morrisville State women

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Host Oneonta State College women’s lacrosse team rolled to a conference win Tuesday afternoon, defeating Morrisville State by a 19-2 decision.

Oneonta’s Lauren Portnoy led the Red Dragons with four goals and two assists while Katie O’Toole added three scores and three assists to the Red Dragon tallies.

Sybil Stanton (Walton, NY) netted the two lone scores for Morrisville State as the Mustangs fall to 3-9 overall, 0-8 in SUNYAC play. Elizabeth Peck (Antwerp, NY) recorded the loss in net, saving 13.

Oneonta led 13-1 at the half and improves to 10-7 overall, 4-4 in SUNYAC competition. Eileen O’Toole recorded three saves in the win in net.

Morrisville State returns to the field Thursday at Cazenovia College. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Cazenovia.
