MORRISVILLE, N.Y.– Morrisville State College head men’s lacrosse coach, Pat Yannarelli, and Kean University’s Shelley Sheiner, coached the men’s USA Athletes International team to a London Tournament Championship title in July. Yannarelli served as head coach while Sheiner assisted.

Posting a 8-0 record at Eton College, in Windsor, USA Athletes International were able to grab the tournament crown over team Gatorade in the championship game to remain undefeated. Team Gatorade was composed of post graduate players from Syracuse University, Ohio State, Hobart College, and Gettysburg.

The elite USA Athletes International team included Division III intercollegiate student-athletes from Morrisville State, Kean University, Brown University, Lycoming College, Susquehanna University and Mount Saint Vincent College. Additional teams in the tournament were from England, Manchester, South England and the United Kingdom.

Morrisville State’s Andrew Elsmore (Scituate, MA), Tim Barth (Rush, NY), Andrew Redmann (Littleton, CO), Michael Pascuzzi (Waterford, NY) and Adam Lewis (Corning-Painted Post, NY) competed for the USA team.

This was the second year Yannarelli coached an elite team during the summer for international competition. Last year the team competed in Germany.

Morrisville State enters its third year as a provisional member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division III in 2008. Upon successful completion of the provisional period, Morrisville State will be a candidate for full accreditation as a member of the NCAA.
