Morrisville State College Dairy Club to Hold Annual Dairy Cattle Sale

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—The Morrisville State College Dairy Club will hold its twenty-sixth annual dairy cattle sale on Sept. 6.

The sale will begin at 11 a.m. at the Madison County Cooperative Extension Center on Eaton Street in Morrisville, across from the college football field.

More than 120 top-quality registered Holstein cattle will be sold at the event.

The Morrisville State College Dairy Club provides students with opportunities to broaden their knowledge of the dairy industry through participation in various activities including field trips and the annual dairy cattle sale.

Proceeds from the sale support dairy club trips, the dairy judging team, academic programs and various activities and events.

Morrisville State College offers a bachelor degree in dairy management and an associate degree in animal science - dairy. Both programs are ThinkPad University curricula in which the use of laptop computers is integrated into courses.

Morrisville State College offers more than 75 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
