Time Warner Sports to televise Morrisville State-William Paterson football game, October 10

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College and Time Warner Sports of Central New York have reached an agreement to televise the Mustangs football game against New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) opponent, William Paterson, on Saturday, October 10 at 12 p.m. at Andy Kerr Stadium on the Colgate University campus in Hamilton, NY.

The broadcast can be seen exclusively on Time Warner Sports for Time Warner Cable audiences from Albany to Buffalo and Binghamton to the Canadian border. For the local Syracuse broadcast, viewers can see the game live on Time Warner Sports Channel 26.

“There are so many great things happening at Morrisville right now, including the construction of the new stadium and other campus facilities, and the opportunity to showcase our football program and talk about the college is something we are all very excited about. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to have our game broadcast by Time Warner’s sports production team,” said Athletic Director Greg Carroll.

“We want to also thank the athletic department at Colgate University for helping us through the construction phase of the stadium project on our campus. There is no finer venue in upstate New York for outdoor football in the fall than Andy Kerr Stadium.”

Morrisville State begins active membership within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division III in 2009-10 and is eligible for NCAA Championship Tournament play.

Morrisville State College offers more than 75 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
