2010 men's soccer schedule released

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College Mustangs are geared up for another exciting season of men’s soccer, beginning preseason practice Tuesday afternoon.

The men open the 2010 season with three non-conference contests, beginning September 1 at Green Mountain College. On the 4th they host Lyndon State before traveling to Hilbert College on the 7th.

Morrisville State begins North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action September 11 at Cazenovia College and is on the road on the 15th at Alfred University before returning home to host SUNY IT on the 18th.

D’Youville comes to Morrisville on the 22nd and the Mustangs are on the road at Oswego on the 25th and Southern Vermont on the 28th.

Morrisville returns home for three straight, hosting Wells on October 2nd with a double-header weekend against Penn State Berks and Abington on the 9th and 10th. The following weekend they are on the road at Gallaudet University and Penn State Harrisburg, before concluding travel at SUNY Cobleskill on the 23rd.

The men wrap up their season on the 26th, hosting Keuka College.

All of the Mustangs home games are played at Lemery Field with the exception of the games against Wells, Berks, Abington and Keuka which will be played on Drake Field at the Morrisville State College stadium on the Morrisville campus.

Morrisville State compiled a 3-14-1 overall record in 2009 and look to improve under direction of new head coach, Kyle Graves, vying for a bid to the conference championship tournament November 6th.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
